The Liquid Organisation.

2015. Learning & Development Summit VI. Invest in Our Future

Date: March 26, 2015
Location: Novotel Hotel, map here.

We will explore the newest trends like: Social Media in L&D, Gamification in HR and Future of Work.

Perry Timms, CIPD Social Media Adviser

Rewiring Development: Digital & Social Technologies Disrupting How We Learn

If Information Technology and Learning were Facebook friends they would describe their relationship as “it’s complicated”.  Early use of video, audio, and computer-based learning failed to live up to expectations and we’ve already seen several “false starts” on development revolutions labelled e-learning. Yet the explosion of fast and widely available internet connections, free wifi, mobile devices and social media are giving us a new way to connect people, learning content and the art of developing wisdom and insight.

LotharLothar Wenzl, Consultant EODF

The Energetic Organisations

After defining what organization design could mean, you will be shown inspiring examples of great organisations that practice leadership, hierarchy or the informal and formal structures differently. You will be shown what difference the consequent execution of principles make for these organisations.

An Coppens, Gamification Design Expert at Gamification Nation Ltd

Game Design for L&D Success

We will explore the steps in the game design process and participants will be applying this to their chosen topic. You will experience game elements and game dynamics first hand, which may be usable immediately after the workshop in your companies.

kalmar_elviraElvira Kalmar, Chair EODF

Future Trends, The Future Organisations

In Elvira’s imagination, organisations as we know them today do not exist in the near future – the future organisation will be a temporary entity of people, resources pulled together to create something and then they dissolve, re-form and re-group to create something else. She will tell us more about how the future organisation will develop or re-create itself.

Cristi Lupşa, Editor @ Decât o Revista

Are we human or are we gadgets?

Computer scientist Jaron Lanier wrote in one of his books that “you have to be somebody before you share yourself.” Technology and the networks is has allowed us to perfect, especially over the past decade, has changed the way we live, work, and love. This change has given us unparalleled access to stories around us, but have we taken advantage of it? Are we more wordly, or do we all float around in our own social bubbles? Are we better workers, or just distracted multi-taskers? Are we fuller people, or just well crafted profiles?

Corina Gheonea, Learning Designer Universitatea Alternativă

What could we learn from Freedom Centered Organisations?

The new wave is coming. The Alternative University is the first organisation from Romania certified as a Democratic Organisation. We are one in 100 organisations certified international by WorldBlu. But how many others we need?
We speak a lot about the generation waY and the gap with the workforce capability. Maybe it’s more about the organisation structure too.Our organisations should be already prepared for them. This is not a just in case organisational design, it’s a just in time change to do.We will share our own good and bad practices in what a certified Freedom Centered Organisation may look like and how the practices may work for others as well.

CrisCristina Cristea, Business Developer Universitatea Alternativă

Rent a Team – Understand. Resolve. Grow.

How would it be to delegate some of your tasks to a young person willing to do a great job to solve them? How would it be to have another teammate right when you are overloaded? How would it be to have a team formed of young students, who can come up with fresh ideas for the projects you are working on?
At the workshop we will discuss a possible solution that The Alternative University has developed for companies.
